Blueprints & Design
- Consult with our designers and engineers to assist with the 3D custom pool design and blueprint process
- Architects will begin the process by spray painting the design on the ground area in your yard, where the pool will be located.
- We want to be certain that that the clients are pleased with the layout before we give the excavation crew the go ahead for the dig. This step of the process can take up to a week, although this can depend on how many revisions are necessary to complete the layout.
First Steps/Excavation
- Excavated soil as needed per plan for new pool and spa.
- New pool to be up to dimensions of blueprints
- 3’ 1⁄2 depth in shallow end, slope to 7’ depth in deep end for example but always go according to blueprints.
- Excavate trenches for plumping and electrical to code.
- Haul away of all debris as needed.
Plumbing for Pool/Spa Equipment
- The plumbing is what maintains the circulation system.
- Start installing the circulation and the main drain system, as well as the skimmer. All flowing systems that are requested according to your design will be installed at this time, such as therapy jets, deck jets, sheer descent, and any additional water features that you have chosen. this portion of the process takes up to a week
- Filter Run: 2in Plumbing Run
- 2 1/2in Pool Suction & Return
- Pool Cleaner Plumbing: 1 1/2in
- Two Main Drain Receptacle(s)
- Skimmer(s) with self-adjusting weir
- Backfill Trenches
Rebar/Forming
- Week 3 of the installation process consists of the steel installation, this process takes approximately two days.
- Bending and forming the steel Rebar to the shape of your new swimming pool according to the blueprint and design layout and is what gives structure to the pool
- Supply and install all lumber for pool framing.
- Install all rebars and start to prepare for gunite.
Concrete Shooting
- The next three days of the pool-building process is the pressurized concrete that is placed and sculpted according to your individual design.
- Material is either shotcrete or gunite which is a dry concrete same family.
- The three-day process does include the time that is needed to allow the drying of the concrete.
- This is when you build your coping either out of cement or pavers specific to the pool coping code.
Tile Laying
- The tile setter is a design artist that is responsible for the beauty surrounding the pool area.
- Tile design is utilized upon client request to decorate the parameter of the pool according to design and blueprint.
- The tile and decking phase takes approximately close to a week (seven days) to complete. This is also dependent upon the design and square-footage of your chosen design.
- Tile installed on concrete with tinset and plastic spacers then grout and sealer.
Finishes/Plaster
- Direct the flow of the pressurized concrete onto walls, then The trowels are used to knead the surface into the final design style and finish.
- The interior finish is the concrete coating that is applied to the floor and walls of the swimming pool called plaster and plastering.
- The water is put into the pool immediately after the plastering process to not cause any cracks or damage from sun.
- The interior finish is completed after approximately three days.
Start-Up Process
- We fill up the pool with water and Then start the start-up process.
- The clients' pool guy is responsible for testing the swimming pool to ensure that it is functioning correctly. For example, the start-up tech starts the circulating pump and sets the timer.
- If your design includes eye-ball fittings in the return and jets, this tech will install those at this portion of the process.
- The start-up technician will also thoroughly clean the pool and the tile deck. Once he has completed scrubbing and brushing the pool and surrounding areas, the tech will begin the balance of the water and the chlorine start-up. The chlorine is added over a period of a few days to ensure that the proper amount is added, but not too much. The process takes about 3-4 days to complete, although to completely blue the pool, will take a few more days.
